Adib Corrêa Vera wins ITA Donald Yaxley Competition

Bass trombonist Adib Corrêa Vera (centre) has won the ITA Donald Yaxley Competition at the International Trombone Festival in New York.

His performance of Daniel Schnyder’s work Sub Zero gained him high marks and much praise from jury member David Taylor, a Schnyder specialist himself.

Adib Corrêa Vera graduated from the bachelor’s degree programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied with Ben van Dijk, in 2015.
