Melissa Bremmer has obtained a PhD at the University of Exeter. In her thesis 'What the body knows about teaching music: The specialist pre-school music teacher’s pedagogical content knowing regarding teaching and learning rhythm skills viewed from an embodied cognition perspective' she researches in an innovative manner the role a teacher’s body plays when teaching.
Melissa Bremmer graduated from the Music in Eduaction programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with honours and de Educational Studies programme at the University of Amsterdam. She teaches educational subjects at the Music in Education Department at the CvA.
