Ilja Reijngoud appointed regular guest teacher trombone Jazz

Ilja Reijngoud is appointed regular guest teacher at the Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Ruud van Dijk, director of Jazz Studies: “With Ilja as keystone the Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam has definitive a world class trombone department. Ilja Reijngoud has been appointed regular monthly guest teacher at the Jazz Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Ilja Reijngoud (1972) is besides Jesse van Ruller and Michiel Borstlap the third European musician to win the Thelonious Monk Award. Ilja studied at the Hilversum Conservatory with Bart van Lier, and performed with top musicians from the jazz and latin scene such as John Scofield, Ivan Lins, Pat Metheny, Tom Harrel and many others. In 2009 he received an Edison Award for The Shakespeare Album.
