Young talent Alexander Warenberg opens international cello festival in Croatia

On October 24, Alexander Warenberg (15) opened the international Cello Festival 'Antonio Janigro' in Croatia with a recital. He performed works by Bach, Schubert, Schumann and Popper. In the final concerto of the festival he played Haydn's Cello Concerto in C, accompanied by the Zagreb Soloists.

Alexander studies with Monique Bartels at the Sweelinck Academy, the CvA's national study programme for young talents.
