Ben Weishaupt (15) has won first prize at the Euregio Competition for Vocalists in Heek (Germany), for singers from the Netherlands, Belgium and the area of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The five members of the international jury were unanimous in their choice of Ben, who was the youngest singer to participate. Ben studies singing with Pierre Mak and piano at the Sweelinck Academy with Marcel Baudet.
