Dutch pianist Tobias Borsboom is known for his exquisite touch (Trouw) and his personal, moderately colourful playing (Dagblad van het Noorden/Leeuwarder Courant). Het Parool wrote in response to his latest CD that ‘Young daredevil Tobias Borsboom deserves packed halls with his beautiful Pan’.

Borsboom has established himself as a versatile and creative musician with great finesse and a broad repertoire. In recent seasons Tobias has performed in all major concert halls in the Netherlands as winner of the Dutch Classical Talent Award and Audience Award. With his solo program Wanderer and as soloist in Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F with the Dutch Student Orchestra he toured the Netherlands and abroad. He also performs as a soloist with the North Netherlands Orchestra and the Orchestra of The Hague. His debut album Wanderer and his CD with Vítězslav Novák's Pan have been critically acclaimed.

Borsboom's artistic interests are broad, as evidenced by numerous collaborations with other art forms. His music performance for children in collaboration with Oorkaan, Meneer Tobias en het zwarte monster, drew packed audiences. With author Jan Brokken, he regularly gives literary concerts, including De Tuinen van Buitenzorg (piano solo) and De Rechtvaardigen (with Lidy Blijdorp).
