Deborah Witteveen wins ‘Kunst aan de Dijk’ Prize for Young Talents 2021

Saxophonist Deborah Witteveen (1995) has won the ‘Kunst aan de Dijk’ Prize for Young Talents 2021. The Kunst aan de Dijk Prize is awarded every two years to a young talented musician to support his or her professional development. Deborah is the fourth musician to receive the award. Previous winners were violinist Amarins Wierdsma (2014), pianist Daan Boertien (2016) and pianist/organist Laurens de Man (2018), all former students of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
The prize consists of an amount of €5.000,-, which will be presented to Deborah on 3 December at the Oude Kerkje in Kortenhoef, where she will give two concerts. 

Deborah Witteveen studied saxophone with Arno Bornkamp at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, obtaining her master’s diploma cum laude this year.
