Laurens de Man wins Sweelinck-Muller Prize 2018

Laurens de Man has won the Sweelinck-Muller Prize 2018 for organ. As a result, he will perform his winning programme on July 26th at the International Organ Festival in Haarlem. The Sweelinck-Muller Prize is a prize for young organists with an innovative attitude towards organ performance practice.  

Laurens de Man (’s-Hertogenbosch, 1993) studied piano and organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with David Kuyken, Jacques van Oortmerssen († 2015), Pieter van Dijk and Matthias Havinga respectively. He obtained his master's diploma with honours in 2016. His master's exam in piano in 2017 was given the designation 'excellent'.
