Conductor Ryan Bancroft wins Malko Competition

Ryan Bancroft has won first prize and the Audience Prize at the Malko Competition, a prestigious international competition for conductors which is held every three years in Denmark.
Ryan Bancroft (Los Angeles, 1989)  graduated from the National Master’s Degree Programme in Orchestral Conducting in 2017. Since then he has embarked on a promising career, conducting orchestras including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest, and the New Ensemble, and working as assistant conductor with Pierre Boulez, Jac van Steen, Ed Spanjaard, Kenneth Montgomery, Richard Egarr, Mark Wigglesworth and others.
