Saxophonist Tineke Postma has been awarded the Boy Edgar Prize 2015, the most important prize for jazz and improvised music in the Netherlands. After graduating with the highest distinction from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam's jazz department, she embarked on an international career as a saxophonist, composer and band leader. She works with many renowned American jazz artists, including Geri Allen, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Esperanza Spalding, and leads several bands. She has recorded six albums to wide acclaim and won several prestigious prizes.
