Clotilde Verwaerde has obtained a doctoral degree at the Sorbonne in Paris with the highest distinction: Très honorable, avec les chaleureuses félicitations, with a thesis on the subjectof: La pratique de l'accompagnement en France (1750-1800): de la basse continue improvisée à l'écriture pour clavier dans la sonate avec violon. Clotilde studied harpsichord with Bob van Asperen and basso continuo with Thérèse de Goede, and graduated in 2005.
