Luister onder het genot van een drankje in de lounge van het Conservatoriumhotel naar musici van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam
Stefan Bos – piano
Mikael Máni Ásmundsson - gitaar
Growing up in the Dutch countryside, Stefan Bos (1996) started playing piano at 8 years old and showed an interest in improvised music very early on. From the age of 11, he combined rural high school life with weekly lessons at the young talent department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is currently in his fourth year of the bachelor program there, and regularly performs in and around the city. Mikael Máni Ásmundsson (1995) is one of Stefan's peers at the conservatory. Born in Reykjavík, Iceland into a musical family, Mikael began studying music when he was 5 years old and took on the piano, clarinet and singing before settling on the guitar at age 12. He started playing and listening to jazz music a few years later, and enrolled at the Amsterdam conservatory in 2014. Together they have collaborated in different groups, performing in both of their home countries as well as in Switzerland. In this duo project they play original compositions and arrangements of standards, combining their musical voices in different ways every time.
