On May 15, 16, 17 and 18 the composition department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdampresented the fifth edition of the Composers' Festival Amsterdam. The festival is a platform for graduating composition students of the CvA to present their best works, most of them being world premieres. This year the festival hosted over forty pieces of new music, performed by more than a hundred artists, including the Aristo Kwartet, the ensemble 528Hz, ensemble FIVE, Duo Soinua and the Vanishing Point Ensemble. The astonishing diversity of the concerts offers a great pallet of chamber music in various genres: vocal, instrumental, organ, electronic, microtonal, music-theater, video and sound installations.
