The European Keep an Eye Jazz Award, a joint initiative of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Keep an Eye Foundation, is an annual ensemble competition alternately for jazz students who study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and students from conservatories throughout Europe.
Dave Douglas will be participating as a coach for the student ensembles.
Because of the success of 2009's event, students of the European Joint Master Programme from London, Trondheim, Paris, Copenhagen and Berlin will be included in the 2010 competition. This year's competition will include two and a half days of coaching, masterclasses and a competition final with big prizes to win.
You can attend the final on Saturday 17 April, starting at 20.00 hrs. in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam for free.
